About
I’m Kitsana, a Bangkok-based documentary photographer and multimedia storyteller working across Thailand and Southeast Asia. With over eight years of experience in photojournalism, editorial photography, and content strategy, I specialize in creating impact-driven visuals for nonprofits and socially conscious brands.
Before I ever called myself a photographer, I was trained to listen.
I hold dual degrees in International Relations and Psychology, and a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications — one of the top journalism schools in the United States. I began my career as a beat reporter covering senior health issues, spending my days interviewing elders at soup kitchens and community centers about their daily struggles. My commitment to in-person storytelling took me from small-town newsrooms to a reporting trip in Ukraine, and later to New York City, where I covered corporate leadership and innovation, interviewing executives and thought leaders at major companies.
I always brought my camera with me. Photography wasn’t my job description yet, but it was already my instinct.
Eventually, I transitioned into content leadership roles at organizations like LinkedIn, Spotify, and Airbnb — helping shape how global brands communicate through story. Those years sharpened my strategic eye and taught me how to connect narratives with impact. But no matter how exciting the campaigns were, I knew I was meant to be behind the camera, documenting real people and real places.
Today, I collaborate with a wide range of organizations to document culture, sustainability, rural livelihoods, and community resilience. Whether I’m photographing farmers in Northern Thailand, artisans in village workshops, or eco-tourism initiatives, my mission remains the same: to tell honest, human stories that build connection and spark action.
If you’re looking for a documentary photographer or visual storyteller in Thailand, I’d love to collaborate. Currently based in Bangkok, available for assignments across Asia and worldwide.
